Bridge work on
Mountain Road was completed by Jim, Bill Bodah and Sam Dillon.
The guys also built a rock culvert on the
New Hampton ski area hill. The trail from
Mountain Road to the ski area should be all
set for the season. Let us hope it stays
that way! Bill Thompson lent a hand ...he
did an awesome job cutting brush the highway
ramp trail!

Maine Snowmobile Trails

Don't plan any trips from Gorham to Evans notch this year!
The pictures above show what is left of the suspension bridge in Oxford Maine.
The bridge (or lack of) is east of Gorham,
on the trail to Evans Notch and Conway.
During Hurricane Irene the river flooded and
trees washing down the river got caught up
in the bridge and tangled in the cables.
Vermont Snowmobile Trails

|
Unfortunately, Hurricane Irene took a toll on Vermont and it's many snowmobile
trails. VAST, Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, estimates VT snowmobile trails suffered $7.5-10 million in damages from Irene. They may have lost access to 1000-1500 miles of trails. They cannot get to most trails to assess them and they cannot buy aggregate to fix any as all gravel, etc. is dedicated to road repairs for Town and State highways./p>

!
THANK YOU TO ALL ACTIVE CLUB MEMBERS !
We
would not have trails to ride
without the volunteers who work
them, the groomers who groom them,
the "behind the scenes" members,
including those who
attend NHSA meetings and fill out
required paperwork, and our
Treasurer who processes memberships.
! THANK
YOU LAND OWNERS !
If it weren't
for the generosity of land owners,
we wouldn't have trails to ride!
